What to expect

Your first appointment is a comprehensive consultation where we'll review your history, examine you, and discuss your results and next steps together.

I used to see a haematologist at this address — can I still be seen here?

Yes. Haematology Victoria’s consultants provide specialist haematology care from these Footscray rooms, and Dr Sueh-Li Lim previously consulted here. If you have been seen by a haematologist at this address before, ask your GP for a referral and we will be glad to continue your care.

Do I need a referral?

Yes, we require a valid referral from a GP or specialist to access Medicare rebates. If you're unsure, your GP can contact our rooms to discuss.

What should I bring?

Please bring your referral letter, Medicare and healthcare cards, a list of your current medications, and any recent blood test results or imaging reports. Bring a support person if you'd like.

How are fees structured?

Please contact our rooms for advice on fees and payments.

What if I need urgent advice between appointments?

Please call our rooms during business hours. For urgent after-hours concerns, contact your GP or present to your nearest emergency department.

📋 Before Your Appointment

Confirm your referral is in place. Gather recent blood results and any imaging. Write down questions you'd like to ask. Arrange transport or parking in advance.

🩺 During Your Consultation

Your doctor will review your history, examine you, and discuss your results. Please ask any questions — no question is too small. We encourage you to bring a support person.

📞 After Your Visit

A letter summarising your consultation will be sent to your GP. We'll arrange any follow-up tests or appointments needed. Our rooms are available for queries during business hours.

We are located at Suite 4A, 30 Eleanor Street, Footscray VIC 3011. Street parking is available on Eleanor Street and nearby streets, with paid parking at Footscray Market carpark (3 min walk). By public transport: Footscray Station is an 800m walk; tram 82 stops on Barkly Street (2 min walk); and bus routes 216, 219, and 220 serve the area.

What to bring

Your referral, Medicare card, medication list, recent blood tests, imaging reports, biopsy reports and any letters from other specialists.

Fees & rebates

Private fees apply. Medicare rebates are available with a valid referral. Please contact rooms for current fees and out-of-pocket costs.

Urgent symptoms

For urgent medical symptoms, call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
