Dr Michael Ashby

Consultant Haematologist
Dr Michael Ashby is a consultant clinical and laboratory haematologist at Haematology Victoria in Footscray, with subspecialty expertise in acute leukaemia, myeloid malignancies, and allogeneic transplantation. He holds dual specialist qualifications in clinical and laboratory haematology (FRACP, FRCPA).

Dr Ashby holds consultant appointments at Alfred Health and Western Health, and serves as Clinical Lead for Myeloid Disorders at Latrobe Regional Health. He also holds a private appointment at John Fawkner Hospital.

He is currently completing a PhD through the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (ACBD) at Monash University. Dr Ashby is an active member of the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG), contributing to the AML/MDS, ALL, and transplant working parties, and is active in clinical trials across all sites as a primary and sub-investigator.

Dr Sueh-Li Lim

Consultant Haematologist
Dr Sueh-Li Lim is a haematologist with interest in all aspects of haematology patient care, encompassing both malignant and non-malignant haematology. She completed her clinical haematology training in 2015 after training at the Alfred Hospital and Western Health, alongside laboratory haematology training at Melbourne Pathology. She is passionate about providing patient-focused, holistic care for all patients with haematological disorders, and has a strong interest in clinical trials and novel treatments for blood cancers. Dr Lim completed a Research and Translational Fellowship in Multiple Myeloma at Alfred Health in 2024, and a PhD focused on Multiple Myeloma at the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (ACBD), Monash University in 2026. She has worked as a clinical haematologist in Footscray since 2015 and has strong connections with Western Health and Western Private Hospital. Her current appointments are at Alfred Health and Latrobe Regional Health.
