Referral Information
What we accept
We accept referrals for a broad range of haematological conditions. Urgent referrals are triaged within 24–48 hours.
Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN)
Acute & chronic leukaemia
Lymphoma & myeloma
Bone marrow transplant follow-up
Unexplained cytopaenias
Iron deficiency & anaemia

How to Refer
Referrals can be sent by fax, email, or via your preferred secure messaging platform. We aim to contact patients within 2 business days of receiving a referral.

Write your referral
Include relevant history, current medications, and any recent results (FBC, film, imaging). Indicate urgency clearly.

A structured letter summarising the consultation, assessment, and management plan will be sent to you following every appointment.

What to include for faster triage
A complete referral helps us triage urgency and minimise delays. Please include the clinically relevant items below where available.
- Reason for referral and clinical question
- Relevant symptoms, examination findings and urgency
- Current medications, anticoagulants and allergies
- Recent FBC, blood film, iron studies, B12 and folate
- Coagulation results, thrombophilia results if relevant
- Imaging, biopsy, flow cytometry or molecular reports
- Past haematology/oncology letters where available
- Interpreter needs, mobility issues or transport concerns
